Mrs. Lalitha Kandaswamy
Mrs. Lalitha Kandaswamy is currently the Chief Mentor of Vagdevi Vilas Institutions, Bangalore, where she has worked initially as Academic Advisor and Counselor. A gold medalist in Botany from Andhra University, she completed both her graduate and post – graduate courses from there.
Her journey as a teacher and educator spans nearly forty years. She has taught at all levels from Pre-primary to Senior Secondary School levels and across all Boards including SSLC, Matriculation, ICSE, ISC, CBSE, COSC at JCE and “O” levels.
Her experience includes 14+ years in Southern Africa Where she also served in the Executive Board of BOTSA, Botswana Science Teacher’s Association.
She is passionate about education and is much concerned about the education and holistic growth of children. She has conducted several Workshops for both Teachers and Students.
More recently, she has been involved in the writing and publishing of a series of text books on Value Education titled “Living Values” for Stds. I to IX.
Her other interests include reading, music, travel and innovations in Educational Practices.
Dr. Shobha Venkat
Samit is the Treasurer of Yogakshema.
Dr. Shobha Venkat is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist working in some of the top hospitals in Bangalore such as Cloudnine & Manipal Hospital and has her own Clinic ‘Bharggavi’ at Indiranagar. She has completed her MBBS from reputed Bangalore Medical College and Post Graduation in Obstetrics and Gynecology (DGO) from a premier Grant Medical College, Mumbai University and Diplomat of National Board (DNB) from New Delhi.
Theme of Dr. Shobha Venkat’s practice is “Respect Motherhood” and to deliver the best care with empathy for all her patients. Her relentless dedication and commitment to the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics have helped thousands of women live a better and a healthier life. She is a member of many scientific societies where she actively contributes and shares her knowledge. She is also an associate member of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She has close to two decades of experience in the field of OBG. Apart from her impressive experience in the clinical field, she has immensely contributed to the field of education, teaching and guiding medical students in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has won many awards in National and State Level Conferences.
Mr. Ramesh
Ramesh did his engineering from REC Trichy and MBA from IIML. He joined HCL, just about managed to stay there for a year, before joining Olam as a Coffee trader. After 7-8 years trading coffee derivatives, he set up a separate division within Olam which focuses on Commodity Financial Services. This division has been hived off as a separate entity under the name Invenio – Ramesh is the CEO of this business.
Invenio is into providing markets in derivatives, mainly options, and fund management.
Off work, Ramesh’s interests include cricket, video games, puzzles, magic, general ideation on random topics, light movies, sitcoms, behavioural science. Ramesh is married to Akhila with 2 kids – Rishi (son, 13) and Priya (daughter,3).
Mrs. SUDHA SHARMA
Mrs. Sudha Sharma started her journey in the print media with ‘Samyukta Karnataka’ wherein she handled the Business supplement. Through the column ‘Sheru Pete’ (Share Market) for more than a year she successfully guided a number of people in making intelligent investments.
A stint in the field of Visual Media followed when she was a reporter for Udaya TV. Mrs. Sudha then moved on to produce, direct and anchor many programs for various Kannada Media Channels like Kaveri, ETV, Zee TV, Suvarna and Chandana. Some of the prominent ones include directing ‘Gelati ‘program for ETV and the anchoring of ‘Sheru pete’, a live phone- in program continuously for a period of three years in Dooradarshan and Chandana Channels. A Reality show ‘Shrimati Karnataka’ for Zee Kannada deserves special mention. She has also anchored ‘Sachitra’ a program based on Counseling. Discussions on the Budget, Education, Agriculture and Women Centered Program, add variety to her repertoire.
In the A.I.R. she created a new wave in women based program by conceptualizing and anchoring ‘Hele Gelathi’ a program with a difference. This formed the basis for her success in developing an emotional bond, at a personal level, with most women viewers.
Having gained vast experience from reporting to editing and from script writing to directing, she has recently stepped into a new venture along with her friend Mrs. Usha Narayan, thus establishing the birth of ‘Mahathi Media’.
Having involved on working with Vijaya Vani since its initial days, she was instrumental in managing their financial supplement ‘Vitta Vani’ that was more Investor friendly.
Some of her more popular Columns are ‘Kai hididu nadesennanu’ ,‘Sheremba maayangane’ for Vijaya Karnataka; ‘Aaviyaagide Maatu’ in Mallige, ‘Profit-plus’ currently being published in Vijaya Vaani. Many of her articles, poems and critics have been published in almost all prominent Kannada News Papers.
‘Odde Kannugala Preeti’- a collection of poems was honored with the award ‘Gowrish Kaykini’ and ‘Bendre Adiga’.
Motivational Talks, Investors Meets, and being a part of many programs for many other Channels as Subject expert are just a few more areas of her expertise.
Mr. Elangovan K
Elangovan has been with the IT services industry for over 27 years, having worked with Infosys and was a Senior Vice President at iGate, managing North America, Global Banking and Financial Services, Advanced Technology Groups and Tech Training.
Elan was twice the recipient of Infosys Chairman’s award for excellence and iGate CEO award. He balances his professional career with volunteering for causes like those championed by Yogakshema, Lake rejuvenation (Whitefield Rising/Varthur lake) by bringing together citizens, scientists, govt agencies, corporates, media and all stakeholders, mental health (Banyan/Association for the mentally challenged) etc. Elan is an Alumnus of National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
Mr. VASANT JAJOO
Vasant Jajoo have done his Masters in Microwave Engineering from I.I.T. – Kharagpur. He had worked in cellular & satellite Communications domain for 17 years for several MNCs both in India and abroad.
About nine years back, he decided to quit his corporate career and lifestyle to explore on “meta” questions behind “LIFE” and “SUSTAINABLE” living. Since then, he had been volunteering his time for various NGOs & Schools.
He has attended several workshops and conferences on Yoga, Alternative Therapies, Forgiveness, Mind training, Vipassana Meditation camps, Sustainable living and on the Confluence of Science and Spirituality.
His experiences during these journeys, strengthened his own personal experiences and helped to consolidate his views. His convictions about the Therapeutic Values of Yoga and other aspects of various Alternative Treatments have only been re-doubled.
Thus today, Vasant is keenly interested in and researches on Therapeutic and Philosophical aspects of Yoga and other Mindfulness-based practices, about which he thoroughly believes in. He and his wife Mrs Lalita Jajoo share their experiences and learning by conducting Yoga Therapy classes to a wide variety of groups and communities.
