The Development Committee shares the responsibility of administering YogaKshema. Decisions about various projects, workshops, tie-ups are usually handled by the Development Committee. Any new proposals are formed initially by the Committee and then referred to the Board of Trustees for approval or modifications. Drafting of reports and grant proposals, seeking funds, spreading information about YogaKshema are other activities that the Development Committee actively involves in.

Ms. Akhila Ramesh
Akhila has been associated with YogaKshema since 2009. She is an Architect and holds a Masters degree in Project Management & Urban Design from National University of Singapore. Her passion for constructing eco-friendly, economically affordable and durable housing led to the start of NIVASA – a not-for-profit organization. Through NIVASA she is striving to realize her vision – for every villager in India to own his own permanent home.
Akhila is the recipient of CSIM Fellowship Award for the year 2011 and the prestigious MSDS Award for the year 2012.

Mrs. Sudha Ashok
Mrs. Sudha Ashok is a home maker. Her association with YogaKshema began as a participant in our workshops. Soon her involvement within the organization grew and she rose to be one of the chief coordinators of our support group meetings. Her dedication, resourcefulness, quick learning and friendly attitude made her one of the indispensable supporters of our organization. She stands testimony to the efficiency of home makers and their ability to also manage other roles effectively.
Mrs. Sudha is also involved in training other interested volunteers in essaying coordinator roles for YogaKshema’s various activities. She also creates awareness about the organization and it’s works in the community.

Mrs. Sheela Nithin
Mrs. Sheela Nitin was introduced to Yogakshema in 2013 and has been active since 2015 and is a member of the Development Committee, a role she is dedicated to diligently. Having finished her bachelors in commerce, she pursued and completed her bachelor in Law. She’s a non-practioner home maker and an integral part of the Yogakshema family.
Her independent thinking, creativity and versatility is what sets her apart. Compassion and affability being her strengths, have made her well liked and key in the functioning of the organisation. Her curiosity as a learner and her reliability have been a catalyst in her organised efficiency. Being an avid reader, she also is keenly interested in playing the Sitar. Her out-of-box thinking has been an incredible asset for the Yogakshema’s storytelling sessions. Her personality reflects the perfect combination of responsibility and acumen.
